Traditional festival of Moosburg in honour of Emperor Arnulf
In honour of Emperor Arnulf Traditional festival of Moosburg in honour of Emperor Arnulf
This festival in Moosburg has its name from Arnulf of Carinthia, who lived between 850 and 899 and was Emperor of Rome and East-Franconian King.
Arnulf of Carinthia was the son of the Carolingian King Karlmann and Liutswinde. In honour of Arnulf of Carinthia and to keep the Carolingian tradition, Moosburg celebrates all year in July the "Festival for Emperor Arnulf".
This festival is a piece of Moosburg's identity and at the same time an important part of the Carinthian and also of the European History.
