WBF ART
The World Bodypainting Festival is the World Championship in different body art categories and the biggest event of this art form. Every year, the World Awards are held and 30.000 visitors are attracted by the artwork. Artists from more than 40 nations compete for the World Champion titles in categories brush/sponge, airbrush, special effects, UV effects, facepainting and some special awards. The peninsula of Pörtschach becomes “Bodypaint City”, a fantastic scenery for the living artwork presented in spectacular shows. Bodypaint City has more to offer than a “Living Art Studio”.
Art, music, fashion and shows are the main focus of the festival program that covers a whole week. The spectacular side event “Body.Circus – the surreal ballroom”, workshops with the world’s best lecturers from the industry, music highlights or outstanding fashion shows – the
World Bodypainting Festival offers an amazing program for young and old, for fashion freaks and music fans, and of course for all art lovers.

WBF Music
Painted bodies are choreographically replanted into a scenery with the help of music. Each year, the festival connects musicians like national and international bands, DJs and singers from all around the world. Concerts of superstars such as in the past Shaggy, Culcha Candela, Pierre Sarkozy or Patrick Nuo take the visitors on a journey into a colourful world and provide an amazing framework program for the World Championships.
Not to be forgotten is the strong DJ community behind the festival. The well-known radio station ForceFM from London travels to the festival with a whole crew since many years already. Whether reggae, pop, electro or funk – the festival satisfies all tastes of music.

WBF Fashion
Fashion is an integral part of the World Bodypainting Festival. Fashion workshops, fashion shows, the Haute Couture Award, the Fashion Park – a big variety of program highlights are offered for fashion fans.
The WBF fashion.park is a sales and exhibiting area for young and established labels. Designer fashion for adequate prices and personal advice by the national and international designers themselves – experience the world of fashion while visiting the festival.
Furthermore, the World Bodypainting Festival offers the WBF couture.award, a fashion contest for all people coming from the fashion industry with a focus on Haute Couture. The jury chooses the best design concepts among many applications. The nominated designers prepare the Haute Couture outfit and present it in a catwalk show at the festival.
Unique fashion shows and shopping on-site – all this makes the hearts of fashion freaks beat faster.

WBF Academy:
Learn from the best ones in the industry at the WBF academy, the educational porgram of
the World Bodypainting Festival
The „WBF academy“ focuses on various professional workshops on the highest level that are held in small groups. Courses for different levels are offered in brush / sponge, airbrush, high definition make-up or special effects. Internationally well-known bodypainters and make-up artists share their knowledge and experience with the participants.

Safe and convenient arrival with public transport
The suburban train “S-Bahn Kärnten” and special night trains of the Austrian train service ÖBB
bring the visitors to the Bodypaint City. In addition to this, arrival is possible via the “Wörthersee
Schifffahrt”, the Wörthersee boat service. The advantage is: 50% price reduction on the
festival ticket and arrival in the middle of Bodypaint City.
