Around the world in just one day! About 150 of the most beautiful models of buildings - the Taj Mahal is a stone's throw away from Eiffel Tower and the Great Wall of China is just a few steps away from the Basilica of Saint Peter.
"Nobody does it better" - that's what we demand of our models nowadays, both in terms of quality and attention to detail. What started on a small scale in 1958 has now been elevated to the art of perfection, as demonstrated in the 150 models on display of the most beautiful buildings from all five continents. We pay very close attention to the smallest details, which requires comprehensive planning and preparation. A second reason why our models look so realistic is that we primarily use original materials, like marble, sandstone, basalt, tuff, etc. - insofar as it is technically feasible.
At the heart of our enterprise are the people working in our own model workshop. All of them expert model makers, they construct new models and are also responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of existing ones Even though comparatively little maintenance is required for models made out of original materials, it's not difficult to imagine that the moving models demand somewhat more attention, particularly when you think that a railway engine in our park covers more than 5000 km in one season!
