Time Travel in the Pörtschach Archive during the “Long Night of Museums”

The Pörtschach Archive opens its doors for interested visitors during the “Long Night of Museums” on October 3, 2026. With many historical images, documents, and testimonies, the archive is Pörtschach's exciting contribution to this nationwide cultural night in Austria.

Visitors can dive deep into the history of Pörtschach and the Wörthersee region here. You will learn a lot about the famous Wörthersee architecture, the “golden times” of summer sports, the development of tourism, and the people who shaped it all.

Take a walk through the historic views of a famous community!

Program for children: A Pörtschach quiz introduces the current theme (Golden Times in Pörtschach). Here they will also learn how people used to write, calculate, or make phone calls. A small treasure hunt awaits as a reward.

Culinary delights are not neglected: There will be Carinthian Ritschert.
