Thursday is market day in Velden

Every Thursday from 08:00 to 12:30, Gemonaplatz transforms into a vibrant meeting point for everyone who cares about freshness, quality, and regional products. The Velden weekly market offers a wide selection of regional specialties, as well as delicacies from the Alpine-Adriatic region.

Harvest-fresh fruits and vegetables, crunchy whole grain bread, handmade Carinthian noodle variations, smoked fish or seasonal lamb, freshly baked pastries and dough products, high-quality meat and dairy products, as well as sweet pastries like cream slices, Gibanica, or Pita from Slovenia – the diverse offerings leave nothing to be desired.

Fine specialties also enrich the assortment: jams, honey, juices, high-quality oils, and hemp products, as well as unique herbal tinctures, herbal essences, herbal salts, and carefully selected herbal teas.

The Velden weekly market takes place year-round – excluding January. As an initiative of the municipal market and the Velden tourism association, it promotes regional and sustainable shopping and creates a vibrant meeting point for locals and guests.
