At the Wörthersee you can start as a pleasure cyclist or with a mountain bike already in April or take advantage of the ideal conditions until well into October. For all racing cyclists the season lasts much longer. Depending on the weather conditions, cycling at Lake Wörthersee is possible almost all year round.

On a leisurely discovery tour

THE bike tour on Lake Wörthersee is the Wörthersee round via the north shore and the Keutschacher 4-lake valley. It belongs for pleasure cyclists to an absolute "must do" during a stay at Lake Wörthersee. The approx. 50 km long route takes about 3 hours and overcomes just 400 meters of altitude. Thus, it is suitable for both normal bikes and, of course, perfect for e-bikes.

Along the flat northern shore of Lake Wörthersee, there are countless opportunities to stop for refreshments and take a short dip in the lake at the free lake accesses. All cyclists who take it easy usually ride from Velden only to the Metnitzstrand in Klagenfurt - or exactly the other way around - and start the return journey with the Wörthersee boat trip.

All those who take it more sporty, attach the 2nd part via Viktring and the 4-lake valley Keutschach.

At the Wörthersee there is also the possibility on the Ossiacher Tauern, so on the north shore of the Wörthersee, to make some passable tours.
