Carinthia runs!

For more than 22 years now, the family festival Kärnten Läuft has been attracting thousands of running enthusiasts to the turquoise Lake Wörthersee. At "Kärnten Läuft", the focus is not only on the sporting competition. The wonderful scenery along the beautiful Wörthersee is unique, Kärnten Läuft may also count itself among the top 25 most beautiful half marathons in the world.

For three days, every running enthusiast and person interested in movement is offered a colorful and relaxed all-round program for young and old in the experience-oriented Running City. The southern running feeling directly on the lake is a key differentiator compared to other running events and offers a perfect vacation platform with sports and fun for the whole family from August 25-27, 2023.

Laughing muscle training

The event will start on Friday afternoon with the Sports Expo in the Running City directly on the shores of the

Wörthersee. More than 30 exhibitors from the sport and experience range present their offer. First entertaining warm-up is on the program at the Wiener Städtische Wörthersee Night Run over 4km. Especially company teams, clubs, running groups and regulars' groups are challenged - after all, there is a special premium for the most original running attire. At 20.00 the Austrian top cabaret artist Gernot Kulis will provide the ideal conclusion to the first Carinthia Runs Day, with free admission and free choice of seats!

Running fun for the whole family

This is the motto of the Carinthia Runs Family Day. The sporty four-legged friends will start with the

Dog run over 4 kilometers. From 15.00 are the youngest running stars at the Junior Marathon and the

the delightful Bambinisprint in the center. At 17.00 starts the Hyundai family run, in which young and

400 meters together and from 19.00 the stage belongs to the Raiffeisen Women's Run.

Water start of the AK quarter marathon will attract again innumerable running fans to Pörtschach. No matter which distance - the emotional highlight, the finish at the Klagenfurt East Bay is sure to succeed.
