HOTEL SCHLOSS SEEFELS
Schloss Seefels, probably one of the most beautiful buildings of the Lake Wörthersee architecture, is located at what is probably the most beautiful place by Lake Wörthersee. What is harmonious, youthful and romantic on the outside is rich in contrast, courageous and avant-garde on the inside: a total work of art made up of images, design and designs by a who's who of contemporary artists.
Visiting the HOseum
In Schloss Seefels, guests reside in the 5-star superior hotel and are right in the museum. This unique combination makes the boutique hotel of the group of the same name, under the management of art collector and hotelier Helena Ramsbacher, the HOseum.
More than 200 works of art
More than 200 pictures from the Essl collection and the Haselsteiner family private collection can be seen in the lobby, in the restaurants, in the Schlossbar, in the rooms and suites. Inspired by Karel Appel, Georg Baselitz, Maria Lassnig and Markus Lüpertz in the lobby, we head to the rooms. And none is like the other.
68 times art in art
Thirteen color concepts with designs ranging from geometric to floral to faunal and made-to-measure furniture tailored to the spatial structures give the rooms and suites their character; this is potentiated by the art to become a character on EigenART. Even if art is sufficient in itself; here it is harmoniously integrated into a total work of art that only does one thing: amaze.
A sea of flowers
It not only blooms on fabrics and pictures, it also blooms on tiles. Thousands of Bisazza mosaics in the spa show a colorful blossom that allows the view to wander from the sea of flowers to the turquoise-green Lake Wörthersee. So that the eyes can also rest, the Laconium is monochrome: everything glitters in gold. In the Urban Jungle Spa Bar it will be "full of colors" again.
Art is porn with colors
Billi Thanner's eponymous art is on view at the Pink Birkin Salon. The name says it all: pink is the key color of the interior in the gourmet restaurant, which has been awarded four Falstaff forks and three Gault&Millau toques, and Birkin is the namesake of the works of art by Attila Adorján, who photo-realistically depicted the Hermès bag named after Jane Birkin.
More than photorealistic
Every view and place in the Schloss Seefels is an Insta spot and artist Billi Thanner's ladder to heaven is very real, with its 21 rungs reaching into the sky in the color-changing neon light.
