From the Eisenkappler Hütte, on the ÖAV trail no. 603, the trail first climbs briefly and then leads to open alpine pastures with views of the Karawanken and Steiner Alps. After about 25 minutes of walking, you reach a pretty little chapel dedicated to St. Anne. A wooden plaque on the chapel tells its story and an Alpine service is held on the feast of St. Anne at the end of July.
Keep right at the next fork in the trail and continue along trail ÖAV no. 603. About halfway through the stage, after just over an hour, the Agnes spring invites you to take a break. Its low mineralization and low temperature make it a perfect source of energy. After the spring, continue along a forest road and then immediately turn right onto a path. Continue along path no. 603, which offers a view of Bad Eisenkappel just before Zeil.
From the path, you reach an asphalt road, which you follow to the right. Crossing the Vellach, you soon reach the center of Bad Eisenkappel.
