35th Festival of German-Language Literature

The Days of German-Language Literature form the core of the literary year in Klagenfurt.

With the Ingeborg Bachmann Prize, the city has been closely connected to the German-language contemporary literature for decades and becomes its central meeting point every year. Authors read their texts, the jury discusses live, precisely, and often controversially.
At the same time, the literary scene from the entire German-speaking area gathers in Klagenfurt; from publishers and critics to established voices and new talents.

During the opening, the draw for the reading order takes place as well.
