Franco Andolfo (* 7. Juli 1938 in Este, Provinz Padua/ † 23. Juli 2012 in Wien) war ein italienisch-österreichischer Entertainer, Sänger und Komponist. Jahrzehntelang unterhielt er sein Publikum in der Eden Bar, am Wiener Opernball oder in Francos Club im Casino Velden. Auftritte in New York und Las Vegas, in der Schweiz oder in Beirut gehörten ebenso zur Karriere des Multitalents. Seine bekanntesten Hits sind „Ciao, amici, ciao!“, „A Wiena Bua“ oder „Amore scusami“. Andolfo war außerdem ein gefragter Komponist von Filmmusik.
Die Büste im Herzen von Velden wurde vom Künstler Marco Tomasi geschaffen.
Sein Velden-Bezug:
Franco Andolfo war Ehrenringträger der Marktgemeinde Velden. Hier erhielt der Italo-Barde 1967 seinen ersten festen Vertrag. Von da an unterhielt er sein Publikum 23 Jahre lang jeden Sommer in der Schlossbar oder in Francos Club. Am 7. Juni 2015 wurde in Velden ihm zu Ehren der Franco-Andolfo-Platz eingerichtet und die Franco-Andolfo-Büste enthüllt. Neben Wien war Velden die Heimat des Musikers. Andolfo schrieb unter anderem die Titelmelodie von „Ein Schloss am Wörthersee“.
