Through the hinterland on a road bike around Lake Wörthersee

This tour shows that you can also cycle around Lake Wörthersee away from the main roads on a racing bike, with plenty of elevation gain (approx. 1,100 metres of elevation gain over around 75 km). Away from the hustle and bustle, you can experience the other sides of the region, peace and quiet and plenty of unspoilt nature, such as the Keutschacher Seental, Moosburg, the Forstsee or Köstenberg.

A lot of my work revolves around quality - I look after the Quality+ project of Kärnten Werbung, deal with guest concerns such as complaints, design our tourist newspaper Wörthersee Insight and work closely with our businesses. I also enjoyselecting our merchandising products, visiting businesses, looking after the Job the lake platform and developing the culinary theme for the region.

A perfect day...

... starts for me with a run around the lake. In summer, it's the wonderful scent of the lake in my nose and in the cooler months, it's the rustling of the leaves that literally "ground" me more with every step.

No matter which route you choose - the colourful mixed forests always offer an enchanting view of the turquoise-blue Wörthersee or one of the other idyllic lakes (e.g. Rauschelesee or Bassgeigensee) in our region. And best of all: a well-earned dip in the cool water - simply marvellous!
