GRANDBROTHERS - Late Reflections
"Two of the most important electronic pop albums of the century," writes the FAZ about the latest releases by the Grandbrothers, and the French Liberation describes the music as dancable piano music "between Aphex Twin and Erik Satie".
The duo consisting of Lukas Vogel and Erol Sarp, with 2.5 million monthly streams on Spotify, brings their impressive sound worlds on prepared pianos and with electronic sounds to the courtyard.
They have their new album "Late Reflections" in tow, which will be released just in time for the tour beginning in early April 2025. The Grandbrothers transform piano music into loud, vital electro-pop and perform all around the world, from the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg to the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam and the Royal Festival Hall in London.
At their live concerts, specially crafted complex systems with electromechanical hammers mounted over the piano are used to strike the strings and turn the resonance space of the piano into a percussion instrument.
In addition to their releases and live shows, the Grandbrothers also compose soundtracks for international film productions.
