Romy Fölck was born in 1974 in Meißen. She studied law, moved into business, and worked for ten years for a large company in Leipzig. In her mid-thirties, she decided to pursue her great dream of writing. She quit her job and apartment and moved to the north. She now lives with her husband in a house in the Elbmarsch near Hamburg, where her novels are created. Her affinity for the north is not coincidental, as her father spent his early years in East Frisia. “Totenweg” is the first volume of her crime series featuring the two investigators Frida Paulsen and Bjarne Haverkorn.
