The Carinthian Open-Air Museum Maria Saal is dedicated to the life of domestic servants in the countryside: maidservants, stable hands, and farm boys illuminate the harsh realities of those who once worked as maids and servants through lectures and acted scenes.

At the historical original locations of the museum, visitors will encounter the theater group "Elithe," which makes the sparse and labor-intensive life of these people tangible through empathetic play scenes – marked by dependence, migrant work, and rare celebrations.

A touching window into the rural social history of Carinthia – informatively and vividly narrated.
