First ever only AI based touristic campaign

The CEO of Wörthersee Tourismus, Roland Sint, and Daniel Gollner of ContentKumpanei.com teamed up to develop the first video advertising campaign using AI technology. ChatGPT generated the story and voiceover, while AI tools like Dall-E, Midjourney and Bluewillow produced the images.


The voiceover was created using AI text-to-audio tools, and the music was also composed by AI. Daniel just put all the components together. The video will be used in a Google Ads campaign this spring, optimized by AI to reach audiences in urban areas like Vienna and Munich. The campaign will continue to be optimized by AI.


Roland's motivation to engage with new technologies is clear: "AI is changing all of our lives, and not just in manual tasks, but also for knowledge workers and creatives. It's amazing to see how AI interprets the Wörthersee and how quickly the storyboard and visuals came together. The future is here whether we like it or not, and I wanted to experiment with this technology as soon as possible to learn quickly."


Daniel, who has been creating visual content with his agency for 15 years, is aware of the change: "Not just for stock videography, but for many content producers, this means game over. Every tool we've used is still kind of in beta, so this is just the beginning. The result, especially on the visual side, is stunning. To be honest, even with many days of shooting, I couldn't have done it."


English was deliberately chosen as the language for the spot, as all AI tools work best in English and the spot is aimed at an English-speaking audience.


The video is available now and will be used in Google and social media ads once the campaign launches.
