This walk leads from the picturesque Rosental-Rož campsite past the Nimmerland playground to the "beaver pond". On its banks, a few pointed tree stumps give an idea that the active four-legged friends can really be found here. The route continues along the natural receiving watercourse to the Kucherau bathing lake and back again via the Drau cycle path on the crest of the dam.

A short forest access takes you to an idyllic pond in the expansive Drau floodplain. The trail then follows the meanders of an Au stream past a rustic meadow landscape and beaver castles. The scenery changes at the near-natural embankment on the way back: the mighty Drau river and the bold rock faces of the Sattnitz mountain range now come into focus!
