Winter hike Singerberg

From Windisch Bleiberg, follow the Singerberg markings and take the summer trail up to the eastern summit. Descend via the western summit and Halbingsattel. Either stay on the hiking trail or follow the unmarked and somewhat branched forest road.

On the Loiblpass federal road in the direction of Slovenia, on the "Sapotniza" turn right to Windisch Bleiberg and further the road then leads to the Bodental valley.

Directions
From the parking lot below the church, we walk past the Kirchenwirt inn, along the cart path and follow the markings across the meadow to the upper houses. There we follow the gravel path to the left and soon the hiking trail branches off to the right onto the Singerberg. At the yellow hiking trail signposts, do not turn left towards Halbingsattel but follow the marked hiking trail no. 654 straight ahead. Over a small stream through the forest uphill, later crossing several forest roads. Always follow the markings uphill. You soon reach the last forest road. From here there are beautiful views of the Karawanken and the Bodental valley. In a few minutes you reach a "small summit", from there descend briefly and then follow the north-facing forest road further east. Then turn left off the forest road and follow the markings for approx. 10 minutes to the "small" summit cross. This is also the highest point of the hike (1589 m).
Return in the same way as the ascent or alternatively bypass the "small Gupf" along the two forest roads (2 options). Past the hang-glider launch ramp to the "large" summit cross on the flat ridge of the Singerberg. Follow the forest road to the Halbingsattel, here turn left south following the markings and the yellow hiking trail signs. Shortly before leaving the forest, you will come to the path you already know from the ascent. Follow this down to the parking lot.
