The Keutschacher Moor has been part of the international RAMSAR Convention for many years. This is an international agreement for the protection of wetlands. It is therefore important to present this natural jewel worthy of protection to local residents and guests. The 7-kilometre circular trail leads past 12 newly designed information boards that explain the sensitive moorland habitat.
The special flora and fauna of the Keutschach moor is presented, the habitat and its history explained and attention drawn to the acute threat to the moor landscape. If you are lucky, you can discover many animals and plants directly in the moor. A pond turtle (lat. Emys Orbicularis) called Emy introduces children to the Keutschach moor by means of a puzzle adventure.
Once the puzzle has been solved, the little hikers are rewarded with a glowing turtle button.

Directions
The hike begins in front of the Keutschach municipal office. The path now leads along the road in the direction of Keutschacher See, crosses alluvial forest areas and runs along the edge of the forest after the moor tower to Baßgeigensee. The cycle path leads back to Dobeinitz and along the road back to the starting point.

Tips
A special highlight is the wooden bog tower with a panoramic view in the middle of the wetland. It can be reached from the hiking trail via a wooden bridge.
