From June to August, textile artist GERDA KOHLMAYR presents a summer gallery for textile art in Gmünd for the first time. As part of themed exhibitions, designers present unique pieces from the fields of textile art, eco-fashion, textile jewelry, handwoven items, textile craftsmanship, free textile, embroidery, felting, printing, and much more. A new meeting point for all friends of textile art! Textile mini-workshops complement the diverse range of offerings.
Gerda Kohlmayr (born 1961 in Vienna) studied Textile Design and Art Education at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna, graduating with a diploma in Graphic Design in 1987. She works as a freelance artist—primarily in textile design and graphic areas as well as in art education and art therapy.
