This is promised by Erik Grote during the presentation of the NINK. Originally developed in military research, the NINK chip was supposed to enable the erasure of traumatic combat memories. However, in the wrong hands, the reality-altering chip can lead to terrible things. Journalist Silvie becomes a victim of these reality changes when it is said that her brother has murdered two people and then shot himself in the head. None of it makes sense. So Silvie starts to investigate, and it quickly becomes clear that every groundbreaking advancement can be horribly perverted in the wrong hands ...

Anne Freytag studied International Management and worked as a graphic designer before dedicating herself entirely to writing. She has received multiple awards for her novels – including the Bavarian Art Promotion Prize in the literature category. The author lives with her husband in Munich.
