ALEX RUIZ
is regarded as one of the most captivating singers and dynamic frontmen in contemporary music, having earned his reputation through his central roles in the acclaimed bands Del Castillo and Chingon. As the charismatic lead singer of Del Castillo, Ruiz helped the Austin-based band achieve an astounding 18 awards, including the SXSW/Austin Music Awards for "Album of the Year" and the title of "Band of the Year." Through his collaboration with filmmaker Robert Rodriguez in Chingon, Ruiz's voice can be heard in major Hollywood productions such as Kill Bill Vol. 2, Once Upon a Time in Mexico, Sin City, and Machete. His remarkable versatility has led to collaborations with music legends like Carlos Santana, Willie Nelson, Los Lobos, and Los Lonely Boys, with Willie Nelson calling Del Castillo's version of "I Never Cared for You" his "favorite version." Ruiz's journey from humble beginnings as a ditch digger to the lead singer for one of Hollywood's top filmmakers exemplifies his authentic, passionate approach to music.
PHIL X
has become synonymous with energetic rock performances as the lead guitarist for Bon Jovi since 2013, officially becoming a member of the legendary band in 2016. His explosive guitar work and magnetic stage presence have helped define Bon Jovi's sound over the years, contributing to sold-out stadium tours and chart-toppers like "This House Is Not for Sale" and "2020." In addition to his work with Bon Jovi, Phil X has built an impressive career as a successful session guitarist, contributing to albums by Chris Cornell, Tommy Lee, Avril Lavigne, Kelly Clarkson, Rob Zombie, Alice Cooper, and many others. His vintage guitar demonstrations have garnered over 30 million views on YouTube, showcasing his deep knowledge of guitar history and technique. Previously, he toured with Triumph and recorded their album "Edge of Excess." He is known for his innovative approach to guitar modifications and pickup design.
STEVIE SALAS
boasts an impressive pedigree of over three decades of high-profile collaborations and creative achievements. As a guitarist, author, producer, and composer, Salas has contributed to more than 70 different albums with a diverse range of artists including George Clinton, Justin Timberlake, Mick Jagger, and Rod Stewart. He has sold over two million solo albums worldwide and has been named one of the 50 greatest guitarists of all time. His career breakthrough came in 1985 when he was discovered by funk legend George Clinton. In 1988, he toured as the lead guitarist for Rod Stewart's world tour and subsequently signed the largest record deal ever offered by Island Records to a new artist. As an accomplished composer, Salas has scored music for several films, including Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure, and served as music director and advisor for American Idol from 2006 to 2010, mentoring talents like Kris Allen, Adam Lambert, and Chris Daughtry. As a proud Native American, Salas has served as an advisor for contemporary music at the Smithsonian National Museum of the American Indian and received the Native American Lifetime Achievement Award in 2009.
ULRICH ELLISON
completes this formidable lineup with his impressive credentials as an internationally recognized blues-rock guitarist. After releasing 9 albums under his own name, Ellison has established himself as a premier guitarist in the international blues-rock scene. In 2016, he made history by becoming the first European to ever win the “Best Guitar” award at the Austin Music Awards, joining the ranks of Stevie Ray Vaughan, Eric Johnson, and Gary Clark Jr. As a student, he won three prestigious Downbeat Awards in the “Best Blues/Pop/Rock Soloist” category, and in 2018, he became the first guitarist to play in the band of ten-time Grammy winner Jose Feliciano, touring the world as his musical director. Born in Graz, Ellison studied with some of the best guitarists, including gypsy jazz legend Harri Stojka, fusion ace Alex Machacek, and jazz icon Karl Ratzer, before receiving a prestigious scholarship to study jazz guitar at UT Austin in 2007. He has collaborated with renowned musicians such as Tommy Shannon (SRV, Johnny Winter), Billy Sheehan (Mr. Big, Steve Vai), and Kenny Aronoff (Joe Satriani, Smashing Pumpkins).
