Three captivating novels of great narrative art and timeless relevance. Three outstanding voices of contemporary literature, which have gained international attention. - We embark on a literary journey to the settings of the stories in Prague, Lisbon, and Toulon.

In Marek Toman's "In Praise of Opportunism," a palace serves as the narrator. Built by the noble Czernin family, it has had to serve many functions throughout its long history. Thus, it preserves secrets to which it gives its own interpretation.
Family secrets are also the focus of Viktorie Hanišová's magnificent novel "Sunday Afternoon."
And Stanislav Struhar will read from "The Weight of Silence."
