Lukas Lauermann - Varve

He is "the quiet star of the Austrian music scene" (Profil) – a cellist who does not push himself into the foreground yet shapes the most significant soundscapes of the present.
You can hear him on albums by Soap&Skin or Nino from Vienna, live with Alicia Edelweiss, in the multiple Nestroy award-winning theater success humanistää! – and not least in his soundtrack to Pfau – Am I Real? nominated for the Austrian Film Award.
In his solo project, Lukas Lauermann combines the cello with electronics, samplers, and effect pedals.
