The music of the Strauss family enchanted the world and made the Wiener Waltz an internationally recognized art form. Half of Europe was intoxicated by the sounds, and to this day, the waltz fascinates people around the globe. One could even say that the waltz is the first hit in music history.

The name “Strauss” is always associated with the lively and graceful world of the Viennese waltz. The contribution to the music world is unforgettable. The Strauss dynasty is more than just music. It is a reflection of the Viennese spirit: passionate, playful, and full of joy of life.

The renowned orchestra specializes in performing the works of the Strauss dynasty. The orchestra can claim to be one of the most authentic ensembles for interpreting the Strauss oeuvre. The ensemble has existed since 1966 and ultimately traces back to the Strauss Band founded by Johann Strauss father in 1846. It usually consists of 42 musicians, as was customary in the 19th century.
