The music of the Strauss family enchanted the world and made the Viennese Waltz an internationally recognized art form. Half of Europe was put into a frenzy by the sounds, and to this day, the waltz fascinates people around the globe. One could even say that the waltz is the first hit of music history.

The name "Strauss" is always associated with the lively and graceful world of the Viennese waltz. The contribution to the world of music is unforgettable. The Strauss dynasty is more than just music. It is a reflection of the Viennese soul: passionate, playful, and full of joy of life.

The renowned orchestra specializes in the performance of the works of the Strauss dynasty. The orchestra can claim to be one of the most authentic ensembles for the interpretation of Strauss's oeuvre. The body has existed since 1966 and ultimately goes back to the Strauss orchestra founded by Johann Strauss father in 1846. It usually consists of 42 musicians, as was also customary in the 19th century.
