The secured via ferrata in the Gartnerkofel massif is perfect if you’re looking for a little adrenaline rush. Freely accessible and with a total length of 500 metres, the tour winds its way across a mountain ridge with rock towers. And it’s definitively one of the most beautiful ways to get close to the stunning rockfaces of the World of Mountains & Lakes!
After an ascent of 150 vertical metres and four suspension bridges – among them the 40-metre Nepal bridge – you’re rewarded with spectacular views. Both the Carnic and the Julian Alps seem within your grasp on this marvellous climbing adventure.
This via ferrata with a difficulty level of B/C can conveniently be reached with the Gartnerkofel chairlift.
Good to know: Even if you’re not into climbing, the “Sky Plate” near the entrance to the via ferrata is well worth a visit due to its stunning views.
