Gallizien
The stage is very varied and you cycle both in the forest and directly along the cycle path next to the Drava. Since the two inns in St. Margareten im Rosental and in Glainach have closed, the only place to stop for refreshments along the route is the restaurant at the Rosental/Rož campsite, which only opens in May. You should therefore always carry sufficient provisions in your rucksack.

You can reach us by car coming from Ferlach via the B85, Rosental Straße, and the L107, Grafensteiner Straße, or coming from Völkermarkt via the B82, Seeberg Straße, the B85 Rosental Straße, and the L107, Grafensteiner Straße.

There is a large parking lot in the center of the village not far from the church.
Directions
The pilgrimage trail leads from Gallizien via Abriach and an access road to the power station house on the Drau. It continues south of the Drau along shady forest paths to Trieblach and St. Margareten im Rosental (Gallizien - St. Margareten: approx. 9.5 km), whereby the path climbs steadily at the beginning and you cover a few meters in altitude. From St. Margareten you hike via the farmsteads Vulgo Bauch, Humer and Gotschuchenweg to the Rosental Roz campsite and from there on to the Drau, where you follow the cycle path along the dam to the west for the next few kilometers to Glainach (St. Margareten - Glainach: approx. 10 km). From here, take the Drau cycle path to Ferlach, where you first cross the Waidischbach stream and then reach the Grießbach stream, before which you turn left into the center of Ferlach and walk into the town (Glainach - Ferlach: approx. 5 km).

You should take enough food with you on this day's stage, as there is only a grocery store on the way in St. Margareten im Rosental (note: closed at lunchtime) and a place to stop for refreshments northwest of the village at the Rosental Roz campsite (only opens in May!).
At high water, it is advisable to cross the Waidischbach at Ferlach on the road bridge. To do this, you have to leave the cycle path to the left, i.e. heading south, and walk approx. 400 m to the main road.
