For many years the Keutschacher Moor is part of the international RAMSAR convention. This is an international agreement for the protection of wetlands. Therefore, it is important to present this natural jewel worthy of protection to the local residents and the guests. The 7-kilometer-long circular hiking trail leads past 12 newly designed information boards that explain the sensitive bog habitat.
The special flora and fauna of the Keutschacher Moor are presented, the habitat and its history are explained and attention is drawn to the acute threat to the moor landscape. Directly in the moor, with luck, you can discover many animals and plants yourself. A marsh turtle (lat. Emys Orbicularis) named Emy brings the children closer to the Keutschacher Moor by means of a riddle adventure.
When the riddle is solved, the little hikers are rewarded with a glowing turtle button.

Directions
The hike begins in front of the Keutschach municipal office. The trail now leads along the road in the direction of Keutschacher See, crosses alluvial forest areas and after the moor tower runs along the edge of the forest to Baßgeigensee. On the bike path it goes back to Dobeinitz and along the road back to the starting point.

Tips
A special highlight is the wooden moor tower with a panoramic view in the middle of the wetland. It can be reached from the hiking trail by means of a wooden bridge.
