A popular program awaits the audience in Villach at the concert of the Beethoven Orchestra Bonn! The majestic playing of violinist Daniel Lozakovich has captivated critics and audiences alike: "Perfect mastery. An extraordinary talent," noted "Le Figaro" after a performance at the Verbier Festival, while the "Boston Globe" praised the "serenity, tonal purity, and technique" of his debut with the Boston Symphony Orchestra in 2017. "It should be a concert that pleases the angels in heaven" – not a small demand that Mendelssohn Bartholdy made with the Violin Concerto in E Minor. After its sensational premiere, the work quickly conquered concert halls, as it impressed with innovations in its structure. The piece continues to enchant today with ethereal sounds, fiery violin solos, and tumultuous tutti. Not least because of the richly available melodies that even tempt one to whistle along, the composition is so popular. While Beethoven's "Fate Symphony" is characterized by targeted dynamics and a dramaturgy "through night to light," there are hardly any conflicts in the "Pastoral Symphony." Instead, there is pure idyll for long stretches.
