WoertherSee Classics Festival 2025 - Die Größe der Romantik

The Wörthersee Classics Festival has been captivating audiences for over twenty years with its distinctive concept and uncompromising artistic direction.

At the center of the festival are five composers who were closely connected to the Wörthersee throughout their lives: Gustav Mahler, Alban Berg, Anton von Webern, Johannes Brahms and Hugo Wolf.

The festival regularly showcases the facilities of the Klagenfurt Concert Hall with high-caliber compositions from international composers of various eras.
At the same time, the festival sees itself as a forum for contemporary compositions, where the younger generation of composers is also regularly invited.

This refreshing concept and a varied program over the four festival days are an absolute highlight of the Klagenfurt concert summer.

The 2025 season is marked by an orchestra that will be presented in Austria for the first time. The Changsha Symphony Orchestra, one of the leading orchestras in the Republic of China, is coming to Klagenfurt at Lake Wörthersee to captivate the audience with four symphonic evenings, each featuring four symphonies by Brahms.
