Ljubljana (Laibach), with a population of 293,000, is known for its green spaces, including the expansive Tivoli Park. On a foray through Central Carinthia, we explore the historic center of Carinthia. This is where history, tradition, modernity and creativity meet.

Our first destination is Friesach, the oldest town in Carinthia. Only here is a castle built using medieval methods, without electricity or engines. During a guided tour, expert guides explain amazing details. The tour then continues to St. Veit an der Glan, the provincial capital of Carinthia from 1450 to 1518. Here you have time to stroll around the town on your own and also have lunch. On the way back, we make a photo stop at Hochosterwitz Castle, one of the most impressive castle complexes in Austria, and at the duke's chair, which played an important role in the installation of the dukes of Carinthia.
