When Joesi Prokopetz learned about the 100th anniversary of the Vienna Central Cemetery in 1974, he developed the text for the song "Long Live the Central Cemetery," which Wolfgang Ambros turned into a cult song. After his successful crime comedies "Hofer" and "The Flower from the Public Housing," Prokopetz is now returning to the 1970s and tells in "Long Live the Central Cemetery" about clumsy policemen, mysterious occultists, and aimless hippies. A cheerful piece of contemporary history in crime form, written by one of the country's most original and witty voices.

Joesi Prokopetz, born in 1952 in Vienna, is a songwriter, author, and cabaret artist. As a lyricist for hits like "Da Hofa," "Long Live the Central Cemetery," or the alpine drama "The Watzmann Calls," he has shaped Austro-Pop like few others. Several crime novels have already emerged from his pen; "Hofer" was the first based on one of his legendary song lyrics.

At the Heyn Bookstore, the love for books and cultural exchange in the city has been lived for several generations. In a cozy living room atmosphere, visitors can browse through 25,000 always-current titles. The traditional business, where two pitch-black cats curiously observe the happenings from their favorite spots, has received multiple awards.
