PETER LICHT - Alles klar live
He has sung the end of capitalism, buried his iPhone at the bend of the river, and sought absolute happiness. He has thrown words and read what was thrown. He has circled the present, invoked it, breathed it, and intoned it.
For eight albums, PeterLicht has sought and found words and sounds. For us, for our staggering between growth and exhaustion, between systemic criticism and bargain markets.
So far, PeterLicht has only made very good things. Starting with "Vierzehn Lieder" in 2001, which featured the hit "Sonnendeck". Since then, he has written, produced, and directed records, books, films, and plays, each new thing a nudge to the ribs of all less output-intensive artists.
In the first years of his work, we did not know what he looked like. He gave us no face to his images. He meant, "that's not me, that's you."
Over the years, PeterLicht has developed his brand: electroacoustic mini-music, understated vocals, and texts like Post-its for all the utopias in the world.
No motivational speeches and do-you-feel-it-too?-hymns, but little gems shaped from our everyday life. The cool thing about PeterLicht is that you don't imagine him living in an ivory tower, but where we all are, for example, with an ice cream in hand in a piss-soaked underpass at the train station.
