Description
From the boat jetty in Velden, this hike initially leads through the town to the French Church. From here, the path begins through the impressive Roman Gorge towards Lake Saisser.
The small moor lake is located in the Jeserzer landscape protection area and is particularly valued for its unspoiled surroundings. The path continues around the lake to the “Veldener Kanzel.” From this viewpoint, visitors enjoy a beautiful view of Velden, Lake Wörthersee, and the Karawanken mountains.
The return route goes through the Devil's Gorge back to Velden. The elevation difference is about 170 meters, and the pure walking time is around two hours.
