Description
Starting from the boat dock in Velden, this varied hike first leads through the town with its villas from the time of Wörthersee architecture up to the French Church. From there, the path begins through the impressive Roman Gorge towards Lake Forst.
Through beautiful mixed forest, the group reaches the viewpoint "Hohes Kreuz". From here, a splendid view opens up over Velden, Lake Wörther, as well as to the Karawanks and Julian Alps.
Subsequently, the route continues to the idyllic Lake Forst, which also invites swimming in the summer months. Finally, it goes back through the Roman Gorge to Velden via Lake Klein.
The elevation difference is about 250 meters, and the pure walking time is approximately 2.5 hours.
