MENSHHEITSDÄMMERUNG Painting of the Interwar Period 1918-1938
The kärnten.museum presents the new exhibition "HINSCHAUN! POGLEJMO!", which deals with the history of Carinthia during the National Socialist era.
The exhibition highlights the political, social, and cultural developments in the region between 1938 and 1945, as well as their aftermaths up to the present day, using historical documents, objects, photographs, and eyewitness accounts.
A particular focus is on the persecution and exclusion of various population groups, the resistance against the Nazi regime, and the impacts on the Slovenian minority in Carinthia.
The bilingual exhibition (German/Slovenian) invites visitors to actively engage with the past and draw lessons for the present.
