With “Sinfonía del Sur,” the Julia Malischnig Project unfolds a vibrant musical panorama that combines the warmth of the South, the energy of flamenco, and the depth of Ibero-Latin American music into a powerful concert evening. The project invites you on a colorful journey full of emotion, rhythmic intensity, and vivid expressiveness – a celebration of joy of life, encounter, and artistic freedom. At the center is the exceptional Carinthian guitarist Julia Malischnig, whose unmistakable connection between guitar and vocals shapes the evening. Together with international top musicians, a sound tapestry emerges that merges Mediterranean lightness, virtuosic joy of playing, and poetic depth. The music unfolds in a lively dialogue between guitars, strings, accordion, saxophone, bass, and percussion, gaining additional expressive power through the dance presence of castanet artistry and flamenco. Projections of the marble heads by artist Harald Schreiber extend the performance with a visual dimension. 

Sinfonía del Sur thus becomes a total work of art that connects sound, movement, and emotion into a vibrant unity – a tribute to friendship, artistic freedom, and the inspiration of the South.
