Description
The Tscheppaschlucht near Ferlach is an impressive natural gem in the Wörthersee-Rosental region. Over many years, the cascading water has shaped a spectacular landscape with deep gorges, steep rocks, and roaring waterfalls.

This natural experience is available to visitors who want to embark on an adventure, are sure-footed and equipped with the right footwear, and wish to enjoy the fantastic spectacle of nature with all their senses. The paths, bridges, ladders, and climbs are well secured but can sometimes be slippery – sturdy hiking boots are therefore recommended. The absolute highlight of the hiking tour through the Tscheppaschlucht is the Tschaukofall with the rock gate and the infamous Devil's Bridge.

Daily from 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m.

In case of bad weather, access to the gorge may be temporarily closed for safety reasons.

Tips and Information:

Barefoot trail: Train your senses. Forest rope park Tscheppaschlucht: several courses depending on difficulty levels. Unfit persons are advised against visiting the gorge; children must be particularly supervised. Dogs are allowed; however, the paths are steep and narrow in places, and there are numerous grates that dogs are reluctant to cross.
