A tour for sporty families who like to "sweat" a little. Away from the main road, the route leads through a densely wooded area and through several quiet villages, initially to Damtschach, where we enjoy the beautiful view of the Karawanken. Up to the Renaissance castle Wernberg it goes then a longer piece downhill.
After the Wernberg monastery, we continue our rapid descent to the Drau River - through Gottestal to Föderlach. The quarry pond there invites you for a relaxing swim.
The route then returns to Velden via the cycle path.
