The idyllic scattered village of St. Margareten lies on a wonderful scenic terrace high above the Draustrom river. Even higher up, in Hintergupf, there is a special kind of valley basin: rustic forests, mountain farm oases, solitude, ... and unusual glacier relics. An experience in itself!

High above the Rosental valley is a hidden high valley in Hintergupf. Settlers once laboriously created their little paradise here. It is not only ancient cultivated land, the eternal forests of the valley basin also hide unusual Ice Age relics. Moraines, tundra landscape, ice wells, ... a leisurely circular trail leads you to these treasures!
