Lake Wörthersee Thriller Festival

The facets of Lake Wörthersee are many and varied. The magical natural spectacle is particularly impressive in autumn. In the morning, the fog rises, the sun finds its way and lights up the lake to create a powerful oasis for nature lovers. But in the evening it becomes mysterious and mystical - it offers the perfect stage for your imagination and reveals its depths.


International crime fiction stars as guests


Against this unique backdrop, the spectacular crime festival will take place on Lake Wörthersee and in Klagenfurt from 18 to 27 October 2019. From urban-dark psycho-thrillers to popular serial investigators and charming-comical regional thrillers, from contemplative country idylls to big-city settings, from thrillers for laughter to socially critical novels that take a stand on current issues - the diversity of the crime novel is as great as the diversity of the Carinthian lake district. The audience is offered exciting days with readings of crime fiction: International stars as well as German, Austrian and Swiss audience favourites.
