Since 2019, there is a new edition of the bike course at Ironman Austria, after which this course is contested only once before the participants come from the first loop in the northwest of Klagenfurt (towards St. Veit).
Until then, this course had to be mastered twice.
The Carinthian Ironman has been a fixed date for the world's best triathletes for more than 10 years. The start is at Minimundus, the small world at the Wörthersee. More than 150 buildings from all over the world are recreated here on a scale of 1:25. The key point is the Rupertiberg. Here you have a beautiful view of the Rosental valley and the Karawanken mountains. At Faakersee, the Mittagskogel, the most famous mountain in the Karawanken, catches the eye. Refreshments are provided by the wine taverns that can be found along the road.
