„Ich mach mich einmal auf die Pirsch“, sprach Karlheinz Fessl und tat das, was er seit vielen Jahren mit Leidenschaft tut. Fotografieren im besten Sinne des Wortes. Also Stimmungen, Menschen und Landschaften mit dem Auge des Betrachters fotografisch zu veredeln. Die tagelange Motivjagd am See vor der Haustür brachte reiche Beute, und dennoch war der Weg zum Titelfoto für dieses Magazin noch ein langer.

Nicht nur der Klagenfurter Meisterfotograf fragte sich, wie man die unzähligen Motive- am, über und sogar unter dem Wasser – zu einem, dem besonderen Bild verdichten könnte. Bis zur Begegnung mit Filippo Iocco. einem der herausragendsten und innovativsten Bodypainting-Künstler. Seine Arbeiten sind in unzähligen Musikvideos, Werbekampagnen, Buchtiteln und TV-Shows verewigt. Der Spanier gastierte gerade wieder beim weltgrößten Festival der Körpermalerei in Klagenfurt, das übrigens 2022 (17.-23. Juli) sein 25. Jubiläum feiert.

Im Studio des Kärntner Festival-Erfinders und Vermittlers Alex Barendregt fand schließlich die außergewöhnliche, künstlerische Partnerschaft ihre Vollendung. Das Leitmotiv für „Colours of Wörthersee“ war geboren.
