Wenngleich im Radurlaub der fahrbare Untersatz auf zwei Rädern im Fokus steht, bietet der Wörthersee darüber hinaus jede Menge. Vor allem Radfahrer mit hohen Qualitätsansprüchen fühlen sich hier so richtig wohl. Ob hochwertige Hotels und Pensionen, ausgezeichnete Gourmetrestaurants, Shoppingmöglichkeiten oder gemütliche Drinks in einem der Beach Clubs. Wenn es ein bisschen mehr als nur Radfahren sein darf, bist du am wohl türkisesten See Österreichs genau richtig.

Vom Wörthersee Rundweg aus stehen dir Touren nach Lust und Laune in unterschiedlichen Längen und Schwierigkeitsgraden zur Auswahl.

Zugleich bietet die Region auch jede Menge Abwechslung. Auch wenn traditionelle Kärntner Spezialitäten aus Küche und Keller kennenlernen willst, ist der Wörthersee der ideale Startpunkt für Entdeckungstouren. Idealerweise solltest du hier südlich des Wörthersees oder entlang der Ossiacher Tauern radeln. Auf den Punkt gebracht sind es Orte wie Velden/Schiefling, Moosburg, Techelsberg, Köstenberg oder Keutschach, die mit vielen charmanten Bauernhöfen und Buschenschenken aufwarten.

Besonders prädestiniert ist der Wörthersee als Ausgangspunkt für Touren entlang der beliebten Fernradwege. Ob Drauradweg, Kärnten Seen-Schleife oder Ciclovia Alpe-Adria. Tagestouren lohnen sich auf jeden Fall. All jene, die eine kleine Herausforderung suchen, empfehlen wir die Touren in mehreren Etappen zu erradeln.

Auch wenn der Ciclovia Alpe-Adria nicht bis Rom führt, ist seine Streckenführung von den Hohen Tauern bis an die Adria nicht weniger beeindruckend. Entlang der aufgelassenen Bahntrasse geht es schwungvoll durch das italienische Kanaltal nach Venzone.
