Rauschelesee Nature Adventure Playground

In the family beach bath Rauschelesee in the Keutschacher 4-lake valley a wonderful nature experience playground has been created. Here children can swim, play, climb, slide, see-saw, and, and, and ... to their heart's content.

The entire area was designed according to the model of the pile dwellings in Lake Keutschach. This means walk-in wooden huts on larch wood piles, climbing logs and seesaws in the form of dugout canoes.

The experience is complemented with a sand play area for the youngest and a nature observation station for the older, more curious children.

"History should be experienced here!" says playground designer Michaela Fink. "The children should get an idea of how arduous life used to be."

At the nature observation station, you can explore what all swims and flies at Rauschelesee. A tree house equipped with a telescope serves as a viewing station, from where you can observe exactly which birds are in the area and what is going on in the reed belt. Daring children can explore the artificial island from the adventure pier or take part in the mini-expedition on special guided tours with the specially designed "explorer backpacks".

By the way, the mascot of the nature experience playground is the kingfisher lady "Smaragda". And for good reason, because the beautiful birds are actually at home at Rauschelesee.

The lido and the Natur-Erlebnis playground are open all year round.

Please buy a regular lido ticket during the bathing season (May-September). Outside the bathing season the playground is free of charge.
