The wonderful Mediterranean climate of Lake Wörthersee invites you to get out into nature earlier than in the rest of Austria. And in autumn, the southern sun shines just as brightly and longer than anywhere else in the Alpine republic, offering ideal conditions for hiking, running and cycling. The Rosental complements the region with impressive high-altitude touring opportunities into the Karawanken and the Koschuta Group.


If you're a hiking fan, it's best to visit our special Hiking on Lake Wörthersee website. There you will find all the information about the Wörthersee circular hiking trail, hiking with a ship, the Wörthersee hiking events, pure mountain sports in the Rostental valley and the hiking month of October. For all cycling fans there is the extensive cycling portal velo.woerthersee.com with a focus on road biking and gravel biking.

In total, more than 150 suggestions are waiting for you in our tour portal, perfectly displayed with map, pictures, altitude profile and other useful information.
