Inge träumt - ein Kärntner Triptychon

For Ingeborg Bachmann's 100th birthday, the Theaterverein Ars ex Machina summons the Nixie Undine in a Carinthian triptych with the author duo Tamara Štajner and Paul-Henri Campbell.
Unlike in "Undine Goes," the monologue shifts, spirals out of control: Mayor Hans gets intoxicated at a bizarre folk festival with a speech that drifts along in traditional longing and unrestrained misogyny – here, the Bachmannian Hans figures assert their world. The spirit of Undine buzzes among the visitors, undermining and misunderstanding the speaker.
Starting from the folk festival, the audience traverses two contrasting landscapes. In the first – "Undine's Intestines" – it searches for a new way of engaging with the world. The second landscape is a dream place, a space filled with Bachmann's linguistic power – the audience immerses itself in a sound field seeking hope.

With three actors (Eva Brunner, Julia Hammerl, Clemens Janout) and under the direction of Christina Constanze Polzer, an immersive theater piece about Bachmann and her Carinthia emerges: between idyll and abyss, breakout and visitation.
For: Not only is the truth bearable for humans – so is dreaming.
