John "Rhino" Edwards is actually known for his job as the bassist for the rock legend Status Quo.
When you're already part of such an outstanding band, it's hard to find time for a second band project. Nevertheless, the rocker won't let this stop him: That's why he is back on the road with RHINO'S REVENGE.
After rocking the Bluesiana audience in 2023, Rhino's Revenge will do it again in 2025!
From two albums under his own name with original material – and a third currently in production – Rhino's Revenge will present a number of these live, along with popular Status Quo songs that Rhino has written or co-written, as well as some timeless rock classics and a touch of spontaneous surprises. "I like to surprise myself and everyone else, and in the heat of the moment, throw in one or two songs that we haven't even necessarily rehearsed," he says.
Rhino's Revenge consists of a revolving line-up of excellent musicians, depending on availability, and currently features guitarists Jim Kirkpatrick from FM and Craig Joiner from Romeo's Daughter, as well as drummer Leon Cave (his rhythm partner in Status Quo)
and Richard Newman, who has played with Paul Rodgers, Rory Gallagher, Jefferson Starship, Steve Marriott, Alvin Lee, and Glen Hughes.
After being a member of bands like The Climax Blues Band, Space, and Dexy's Midnight Runners, Rhino was invited to join Status Quo in 1986 and has been a permanent member of their line-up ever since.
