On steep ladders en route in the Tscheppa Gorge
A hike through the wild and romantic gorge is particularly recommended on a hot day. As you ascend via paths, ladders and bridges, your breathing rate and tension will increase, reaching their peak at the impressive spiral staircase and the spectacular suspension bridge to the Tschauko Falls. The roaring water is your constant companion and provides a pleasant coolness
There are several gratings along the way, which dogs are reluctant or unable to enter. It is sometimes necessary to carry dogs over these areas. The path is also steep and narrow in places, which can make it difficult to walk with dogs.

Coming from Klagenfurt on the federal road B 91 to Unterloibl, after approx. 300 m you will find the paid parking lot on the right side.

From the parking lot at 580 m above sea level, cross the bridge past the forest rope park and descend steeply to the Loiblbach stream. Follow the gravel road upstream to the Goldenen Bründl. The entrance fee is collected here. Continue along the road and then follow the partially secured gorge path over steps, ladders and galleries through the gorge. After 1 hour, the path forks at the confluence of the Bodenbach and Loiblbach streams.
Straight ahead, the path leads up to unique natural spectacles such as the Tschauko Falls and the rock gate. After 1/2 hour you reach the Gasthof Deutscher Peter. From here, take the bus to the Tscheppaschlucht parking lot (see timetable).
