Suggestion: Start at the Sereinig family farm 1000 m
Starting from the "Kaufhaus Sereinig" rest area, hike downstream for about 450 m and then cross the Bodenbach stream to the left over a bridge. Via a narrow path you reach two small farms. Past the stables, across a meadow with a flat slope, where you briefly have a unique view of the peak of the Ferlacher Horn, the path leads into a high forest. At a crossroads (Holzmaterl) you reach the main road. After a short stretch on the road, the trail climbs slightly in a southerly direction through the forest at a large wayside shrine. Already after about 10 minutes a fairy-tale view of the whole Bodental valley with the two highest peaks of the Karawanken (the Hochstuhl 2237 m and the Vertatscha 2180 m) opens up. On biologically managed mountain and flower meadows with botanical rarities you reach the highest point of the hike, the estate "Lausegger". From here the path descends again in a southwesterly direction and you pass the organic farm "Boschtehof" and the estate "Rausch" back to the valley floor. Passing the forest garden, you return to the starting point.
